What is the most Oscars won by a single movie?

Posted on 01/01/2026 By Syifa

“Oppenheimer” leads the 2024 Oscar nominations with 13 nodes, but no film has ever won that many Academy Awards before. Several movies have come close, however.

More than 3,000 Oscars have been awarded since 1929, according to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which hands out the awards.

These are the films with the most Oscar nominations and wins in history:

Which movie has won the most Oscars?

Three films are tied for having the most Oscar wins of all time:

  • “Ben Hur” (1959)
  • “Titanic” (1997)
  • “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” (2003)

Each of those films received 11 Academy Awards.

“Ben-Hur,” which received 12 nominations, has been adapted several times. The 1959 film, starring Charlton Heston, Stephen Boyd, Jack Hawkins and Hugh Griffith, was directed by William Wyler. Wyler has the distinction of having earned 12 Oscar nominations for best director.

“Titanic,” which received 14 nominations, starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet and Billy Zane. It was directed by James Cameron.

“The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King,” directed by Peter Jackson, received 11 nominations. The film stars Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom, Cate Blanchett, Sean Bean, and

2024’s New Lord Of The Rings Movie Is A Slap In The Face For Rings Of Power Season 2

Posted on 28/12/2025 By Syifa

Summary

  • The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, set for release in 2024, explores the history of Helm Hammerhand and offers a fresh story that has never been seen on screen before.

  • War of the Rohirrim’s focus on the Kingdom of Rohan provides a closer look at Tolkien’s world without conflicting with Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings films, which could attract those frustrated with Rings of Power’s canon changes.

  • The fact that War of the Rohirrim and Rings of Power are produced by different studios means they are not connected, giving the 2024 film a more direct connection to Jackson’s trilogy and a sense of familiarity for audiences.

2024 will see the release of the film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrimand this is quite a slap in the face for Prime Videos’ The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power season 2. Though both are adaptations of author JRR Tolkien’s works, they are being produced by different studios and will explore different points in Middle-earth’s history before The Lord of the Rings. These projects share few real connections, but War of the Rohirrim‘s release timing means it

What Are These Mysterious Dark ‘Spokes’ on Saturn’s Rings? | SmartNews

An image of Saturn and its rings

A new photo of Saturn from NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope captures mysterious dark blotches that appear on the planet’s rings. Called “ring spokes,” the circles spot Saturn along with its signature bands of icy debris.

Scientists have known about ring spokes for decades, but they’re still not positive where they come from.

“The leading theory is that the spokes are tied to Saturn’s powerful magnetic field, with some sort of solar interaction with the magnetic field that gives you the spokes,” Amy Simon, a NASA planetary scientist and lead scientist for Hubble’s Outer Planet Atmospheres Legacy (OPAL ) program, says in a statement from NASA.

The agency’s Voyager 2 space probe first imaged Saturn’s ring spokes in 1981, and the Cassini spacecraft also observed the mysterious phenomenon while studying the gas giant between 2004 and 2017.

But Voyager 2 left the solar system roughly five years ago, and NASA deliberately ended Cassini’s mission by crashing the probe into Saturn in

Rings and Watch Found at White Pond in Concord – Boston News, Weather, Sports

Posted on 19/12/2025 By Syifa

7 News needs your help solving a mystery! Our investigative producer here at the station found some very valuable items while she was hiking with her dogs. Now she — and the Concord Police Department — are trying to return them to their owner.

“I was walking my dogs right here along White Pond that was really warm Saturday a couple of weeks ago,” Mary said.

Mary Schwager and her Labradors were hiking along the southwest side of White Pond in Concord on October 28th.

“And there were two women right here. They had a beach bag. I chatted with them for just a split second. They met my dogs and a few minutes later, they left,” Mary said.

Soon after, Mary found something very valuable right here on the beach.

“We walked right over here, and I looked down, and I saw a watch and two rings, and I thought, ‘Oh no! I wonder if this fell out of their beach bag?’ So I took the items, and I ran back up and down the trail trying to see if I could catch the women, but they were long gone.”

Mary brought the valuables to the Concord Police Department.

Saturn’s rings will disappear from view in March 2025, NASA says

Posted on 11/12/2025 By Syifa

Saturn’s rings will seemingly disappear from view in 2025, a phenomenon caused by the planet’s rotation on an axis. Saturn won’t actually lose its rings in 2025, but they will go edge-on, meaning they will be essentially invisible to earthlings, NASA confirmed to CBS News.

The rings will only be slightly visible in the months before and after they go edge-on, Amy Simon, senior scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, said in a statement to CBS News. Those who want to see what Saturn looks like on various dates can use the PDS rings node, she said.

Because the planet rotates on an axis tilted by 26.7 degrees, the view of its rings from Earth changes with time, Vahe Peroomian, professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Southern California, told CBS News via email.

Every 13 to 15 years, Earth sees Saturn’s rings edge-on, meaning “they reflect very little light, and are very difficult to see, making them essentially invisible,” Peroomian said.

The rings last went edge-on in 2009 and they will be precisely edge-on on March 23, 2025, he said.

“Galileo Galilei was the first person to look at Saturn through a telescope, in the early

Saturn’s Rings Will Temporarily Disappear From View in 2025 | SmartNews

Saturn, with its rings appearing brighter than the planet and three moons to the left of the planet.

The popular conception of Saturn is virtually inseparable from its majestic rings. But in a little over a year, skywatchers won’t be able to see these iconic structures: In 2025, Saturn’s rings will be invisible from Earth for several months.

Fortunately, this isn’t a sign of a planetary apocalypse. Rather, it’s a matter of simple physics.

“While it’s true the rings will become almost invisible from Earth in 2025, this is neither a surprise nor a reason to panic,” Jonti Horner, an astrophysicist at the University of Southern Queensland in Australia, wrote in the Conversation.

Why won’t Saturn’s rings be visible?

In reality, it all has to do with planetary alignment. Saturn’s rings are so thin that they seem to vanish when viewed edge-on. And as Earth and Saturn travel around the sun on their respective orbital paths, our planet reaches this particular vantage point like clockwork, roughly every 13 to 16 years.

Honor’s Smart Ring Is Coming for Oura, Too

Posted on 29/11/2025 By Syifa

After Samsung’s surprise announcement of a Galaxy Ring this year, Chinese company Honor said it’ll launch its own smart ring, called the Honor Ring, as early as this year.

“Internally, we have this kind of solution, now we are working on that part, so in the future you can have the Honor Ring,” CEO George Zhao told CNBC, which first reported the news, at Mobile World Congress on Tuesday.

That future Zhao referred to is coming soon. Honor later told CNET its high-tech ring will be released before the end of 2024. The Chinese company’s upcoming entry into the burgeoning smart ring market means consumers will have more choices in a wearables category dominated by a few key players. Celebrity favorite Oura is currently the most prominent player, with new entrant Evie, who focuses on women’s health, vying to grab some market share.

Samsung’s Galaxy Ring, which was physically shown off at MWC this week, is rumored to arrive as early as this year. Apple is also rumored to be experimenting with the idea of a smart ring, according to Bloomberg.

Chances are Honor’s ring will follow the lead of smart rings already on the market, and track a wearer’s

Jegpeek:NASA’s Webb Rings in the Holidays with the Ringed Planet Uranus

Posted on 27/11/2025 By Syifa

NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope recently trained its sights on unusual and enigmatic Uranus, an ice giant that spins on its side. Webb captured this dynamic world with rings, moons, storms, and other atmospheric features – including a seasonal polar cap. The image expands upon a two-color version released earlier this year, adding additional wavelength coverage for a more detailed look.

With its exquisite sensitivity, Webb captured Uranus’ dim inner and outer rings, including the elusive Zeta ring – the extremely faint and diffuse ring closest to the planet. It also depicted many of the planet’s 27 known moons, even seeing some small moons within the rings.

In visible wavelengths as seen by Voyager 2 in the 1980s, Uranus appeared as a placid, solid blue ball. In infrared wavelengths, Webb is revealing a strange and dynamic ice world filled with exciting atmospheric features.

One of the most striking of these is the planet’s seasonal north polar cloud cap. Compared to the Webb image from earlier this year, some details of the cap are easier to see in these newer images. These include the bright, white, inner cap and the dark lane in the bottom of the polar cap, toward the

Why will Saturn’s rings briefly ‘disappear’ from view in 2025? | Explained News

Posted on 26/11/2025 By Syifa

One of the most spectacular sights in the Solar System is the majestic ringed planet Saturn, which is clearly visible in the evening sky through a telescope. In 2025, however, Saturn’s rings will seemingly disappear from view.

It isn’t as if the planet will lose them forever. The rings will just be invisible from Earth and will reappear soon thereafter. The reason for this temporary disappearance has to do with Saturn’s tilt and an optical illusion.

Why will Saturn’s rings be invisible from Earth?

Like Earth’s axis of rotation, which is tilted by 23.5 degrees, Saturn’s axis of rotation has a 26.7 degree tilt — its enormous ring system is also tilted to the plane of Saturn’s orbit. As a result, when Saturn revolves around the Sun, it seems to nod up and down when viewed from Earth and the view of its rings also keeps changing.

Saturn rings. This animation demonstrates the 29.5-year orbital period of Saturn by opposition date, as well as the dramatic changes in the orientation of the planet’s ring disk. The ring system revolves around a fixed axis, so both sides of the ring disk are visible from Earth during each period in which Saturn orbits
