Dublin Couple Desperate To Find Missing Engagement Ring
Mark Fearon and Orla Murray from Firhouse in Dublin had been on a high celebrating their recent engagement, when a series of unfortunate events left them devastated as the rest of the country was celebrating the Six Nations win and St Patrick’s Day.
After a number of opportunities to pop the question passed unsuccessfully, Mark finally got down on one knee and asked Orla to marry him while on holiday in Estepona in Spain at the end of February.
Speaking to EVOKE, Mark said he wanted it to be a perfect moment. ‘I was trying to find the kind of perfect time, the perfect place to actually propose. We’d actually gone off to the Aran Islands during the summer, and then [the ring] even went to a wedding in Italy. It just never ended up happening. So, I managed to keep the ring nice and safe, all the way up until then.’

But when the couple, who had two kids – Fiadh, five, and three-year-old Declan Óg – were on a family holiday in Spain at the end of February, Mark felt the time was finally perfect and he popped the question on the beach as their children
