Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Warner Bros. film studio. will produce an anime film based on the popular book “The Lord of the Rings” by JRR Tolkien.
Reported by Reuters, “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” will tell the story of the legendary battle that shaped Middle-Earth before the events depicted in the film “The Lord of the Rings” (2001), the studio said in a statement. The new film will explore the fortress of Helm’s Deep and feature the King of Rohan, Helm Hammerhand.
Kenji Kamiyama will direct the anime film, which has not yet been announced when it will be broadcast.
Warner Bros. distributing the live action trilogy “The Lord of the Rings” which began in 2001, as well as the trilogy “The Hobbit” starting in 2021. The six films grossed almost 6 billion US dollars at the global box office.
Amazon.com Inc is working on a “Lord of the Rings” television series currently being filmed in New Zealand.
